THE CannaSaipan cannabis lounge officially opened for on-site customer consumption on Friday.
Budtender Ed Ada said the lounge’s mission is to be a “home away from home” for the island’s marijuana users.
“[Th]is lounge [is] a safe place for marijuana smokers,” Ada told Variety. “We want you guys to feel at home. We sell coffees, milkshakes, pearl shakes, hot coffee, cold coffee. It’s a safe place for smokers to vibe.”
He said residents aged 21 and older can present a valid ID, purchase cannabis products, and consume them on-site.
The lounge is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays; and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Bubblers and bongs are available for customer use, and Ada also offers customized a la carte pre-roll orders.
“A friend with weed is a friend indeed,” he said.
Ada highlighted the indica strain “Sticky Icky,” priced at $12 per gram, which he described as “mellow,” producing a relaxed “in-the-couch” body high.
He also recommended CannaSaipan’s popular strains, “Purple Haze” for $10 a gram and “Durban Poison” at $6.50 per pre-roll.
CannaSaipan is located across from Garapan Fishing Base, just south of Kristo Rai Church.
