The Coastal Resources Management program agencies committee Public Comments Hearing lasted only 30 minutes because the few public comments offered were supportive of the development.
“This is an exciting and beneficial project for the CNMI in terms of creating jobs, attracting more visitors and generating tax revenue,” explained Herman Cabrera, project architect.
Final architectural and engineering plans are under final review in China and should be submitted to DPW for permitting within two weeks.
Anticipating no major hurdles the residential development could break ground in January on the phase I that includes 11 private homes within a gated community.
The entire plan encompasses 4.5 hectares at a cost of $13 to 15 million with a schedule of two to five years for completion.
