Car burglarized at American Memorial Park

The victim, who requested not to be named, said she found that the car window on the passenger side was broken after she returned from watching a concert at the park between 4 and 5 p.m.

Her Louis Vuitton bag, worth $800, BlackBerry phone, $300 cash, identification cards and other valuables were stolen.

She sought assistance from federal park rangers who then called the Department of Public Safety.

The victim was wondering why the responding police officer did not process her vehicle, and did not look for potential fingerprints. The office took only a photo of the vehicle, she said.

“The officer said sorry,” the victim added.

DPS had yet to issue a statement about the incident.
