CDA: 86% of borrowers delinquent

CDA’s delinquent ratio as of June 2008 was 86 percent.

The agency has 79 borrowers of whom 68 are not paying their debts in the period of time set by CDA.

Records from CDA showed that it had a total outstanding loan balance of $16.6 million as of June this year.

Of the 79 borrowers, 64 had matured loans amounting to $4.3 million.

But CDA acting Executive Director Oscar Camacho said some borrowers pay dues beyond the deadline.

“These are those borrowers who are delinquent by about five, 15 or 30 days but still make their payments to the agency,” he said.
