Variety learned yesterday that Militante will begin working for CDA at the end of the month.
Militante is replacing Stuart B. Smith who opted not to renew his contract with CDA.
The board had been informed as early as August that Smith would no longer be renewing his contract and this prompted the search for his replacement.
The search yielded three interested candidates until the CDA board decided to winnow them down to the potential replacement.
Smith was praised by the CDA-DCD board for cleaning up the agency’s books and for making audit reports available in the earliest time possible.
Smith worked for CDA for two years.
