CDA sells $180K properties in auction

CDA acting Executive Director Oscar Camacho said a property that sit in a 28,000-square meter lot in Kagman was sold for $120,000, 10 percent of which was paid during the auction while the remaining balance will be paid in 10 days.

A house owned by CDA on Capital Hill was also sold for $60,000.

Camacho said there were three properties that were supposed to be auctioned off, but they decided to keep the property in Oleai.

“We decided not to sell it because it’s income producing and will help the borrower pay his debt to CDA,” Camacho said.

On Dec. 19, more properties will be up for sale as another auction is scheduled to take place in the agency’s conference room.

Camacho said among these properties is the 2-story commercial building on Tinian —the former KBC Building.

Its owner, James Fleming, owes CDA $89,734 and Camacho said they’re hoping that the property will be bought for the same amount.

Two real properties in Finasisu and Kanna Tabla of former Reps. Manuel A. Tenorio are up for sale on Dec. 19.

Tenorio owes CDA $293,827 plus attorney’s fees in the amount of $1,898.
