Chacha grateful to KagHS tutors

Sablan said  the KaHS students are juniors tutoring Chacha’s eighth graders as  part of their community service hours.

“We still encourage the seniors to also sign up if they still need the hours,” Sablan told Variety.

As senior students prepare for college, they must also achieve all goals in their student portfolio which consists of 27 tasks.

Accumulating community service is one of the requirements a student needs to achieve in order to complete the portfolio.

If a student completes the portfolio, he or she is granted the privilege to walk with the class during the graduation ceremony at the end of the school year.

The KagHS students tutor 40 Chacha students for two hours a day, three days a week. Tutoring sessions are focused on math and reading.
