Chamber executive director Richard A. Pierce said the seminar will be presented by the members of the chamber and the legal offices of Bruce Mailman and Maya Kara.
Pierce said the presentation will focus on the application process for U.S. visas, and will include discussion on how the recently distributed 2011 Survey on Wages, Salaries and Benefits will fit into the process for H-1B visa petitioning.
Pierce said that the chamber will provide the handbook for employers, which includes instructions for completing Form I-9, U.S. Department of Justice workplace posters and materials for distribution recently provided by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The seminar is provided at no cost to members of the chamber, but a $15 fee will be charged for non-members.
Pierce said Leana Santos from Bruce Mailman and Maya Kara legal offices will also be a part of the discussion panel.
“The process of how the recently completed wage survey would be utilized by employers petitioning for H-1B visas will be a part of the discussion tomorrow night,” Pierce said.
The survey summaries are already being utilized.
