By Oct. 15, NMC is required to submit the report to the accreditation commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
She said the report will deal with the institution’s governance and leadership.
“The institution continues to see an increase in participation rates for accreditation related work,” Hart said in her executive report.
She said almost half of all employees at the college are serving on an accreditation standard team.
Hart also reported that the Office of Institutional Effectiveness is working closely with the Office of the President and Management Team to benchmark the college against other comparable and peer institutions.
The college, she added, is preparing benchmark criteria and benchmarks that the National Center for Higher Education Management System will use to file and select institutions: demographics, institutional statistics and student achievement data.
“The final analysis will help the college determine how it is performing in comparison to other institutions and in what areas it can improve,” she said.
Hart has attended at least 18 meetings with businesspersons and government officials “to pursue external relationship.”
In her executive report, Hart stated she also attended various events with governmental bodies and autonomous agencies.
On Aug. 8, she said she met with Northern Marianas Trades Institute president Anthony Pellegrino and discussed the future of vocational programs in the CNMI.
She said they discussed a possible collaboration between the college and the trade school.
Among the events that she also attended from Aug. 5 to Sept. 27 were meetings with the Pacific Post-Secondary Education Council and the 10th Annual Presidents Fundraising Academy.
At the fundraising academy, she said she learned the essential skills to do a better job of fundraising and how to manage time to accommodate fundraising activities.
Hart also met with U.S. Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan Federal Chief Judge for the NMI Ramona V. Manglona, Gov. Benigno R. Fitial, Department of Public Safety Commissioner Ramon C. Mafnas and CNMI lawmakers.
