Church to mark 10th anniversary on Saipan

Jun Concillado and Ronnie Doca, public relations officers of the church, said this year’s celebration is very significant because they have visitors from the Philippines who will perform in a free concert.

Concillado said Consul General Medardo Macaraig has already confirmed his attendance.

The celebration will start at 8 a.m. and will be followed by a motorcade from the church to the Garapan Central Park roundhouse.

The musical presentation of the Pillars Band with Bro. Sammy Bagcat will start at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

“We are inviting the community to attend this very special event,” Concillado said.

The church is administered by Pastor Claire Javillonar, who is assisted by her husband Francis.

It has over 150 church members comprising 30 families.

Bagcat said he has been writing songs since he was 16 years old and has already released eight albums of Gospel music whose theme is mainly  love and salvation.

He first visited Saipan in  2001.

“I am hoping that my visit this year would be more fruitful,” he said as he encouraged church and community members to continue serving the Lord.

“People are so busy attending to their work that they often forget about God. They should set aside time for Him and praise Him for what He has given to us,” he said.
