Reyes discusses Humanities Council projects

He said their other priority is to make sure that all of the council’s grant applications have “humanities contents.”

They are also considering more fundraising activities that involve community involvement while raising awareness about the council’s projects.

Reyes said the council is also considering a decent contribution plan for its employees who lack a retirement plan.

The council continues to collaborate with the Public School System and Northern Marianas College in promoting  humanities-related programs, he added.

He mentioned the ongoing Teacher’s Institute program as an example of PSS-council collaboration.

The institute is for teachers who want to know more about NMI history.

The council is also planning a writing session to help improve the writing skills of teachers and students of PSS and NMC.

“I have a lot of plans for the council and I am pretty much excited about it,” Reyes said.
