In a letter to Aguon dated Jan. 31,2024, JEMCO operators Edward and Jovita Flores said: “Given your continued efforts and the hard work you have demonstrated throughout the year to clean up our environment and community, JEMCO Ltd. is pleased to continue our donation of $100 monthly gas allowance to alleviate expenses incurred by you. This is a remarkable endeavor that you committed to the CNMI and its people.”

Jovita Flores, in a separate statement to Variety, said: “We’re always proud of what Max has done for the community. Every year he has always been there…to make sure that our island is presentable. We always say that tourism is everybody’s business…so we make sure that it’s nice and clean for all of us. We thank Max for the hard work that he does out there.”

JEMCO also operates the Kagman and Chalan Kiya Mobil stations.
