On Jan. 24, 2007, Global Services and Construction Company granted Romanillo a power of attorney, which authorized him to manage the firm’s business.
But he abused this power of attorney and made numerous withdrawals from the company’s account on questionable purchases, the complaint stated.
It added that the company revoked Romanillo’s power of attorney on May 6, 2008, but he made another withdrawal in the amount of $10,000 on Sept. 15, 2008.
He is presently in default in the total amount of $29,971.89, the complaint stated.
The company is now seeking damages in the amount of $29,971.89, attorney’s fees and pre-judgment interest of 9 percent per year.
