Copper wire theft on Airport Rd.

The case remains under investigation, DPS spokesman PO2 Eric David said in an e-mail.

David said DPS received a call on June 21, 2010 at about 1:24 p.m. regarding the burglary and theft incident at Win Guide Color Printing.

“The [complainant] told the officer that unknown suspect(s) had stolen the electrical wiring (copper wire) of the establishment,” David said.

Further investigation revealed that the door at the building’s southern portion was wide open.

“As they entered the establishment, the officer noticed several electrical wires lying on the floor by the electrical panel box,” David said.

The department’s crime scene technician was summoned to the scene and estimated that the establishment lost some $8,000 worth of copper wire, David said.
