Counselor from Guam to brief NMI veterans

A team leader of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Catherine Illarmo will discuss readjustment counseling with combat veterans and their families.

Illarmo frequently visits Saipan to meet veterans, active military service personnel and the families of who those who had just been deployed.

On Thursday and Friday, she will conduct individual counseling to  combat veterans and will brief them on stress management.

NMI Military Liaison and Veterans Affairs executive officer Ruth Coleman is urging all veterans, active duty personnel and their families to be at her office on Capital Hill to see Illarmo.

The session starts at 9 a.m.

Illarmo will also be available at the Army Reserve Center at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Of the 1,600 who registered themselves with the Military Liaison and Veterans Affairs Office, 1,200  are veterans and 400 are active duty personnel, Coleman said.
