Court asked to revoke probationer’s supervised release

The U.S. District Court for the NMI has been informed that Taitano has been charged in Superior Court by the Attorney General’s Office last April with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

Also last April, Taitano’s girlfriend filed a temporary restraining order against the probationer who, the woman said, had a drinking problem.

Police said Taitano beat up his girlfriend.

Taitano is currently detained at the CNMI Department of Corrections facility.

On Nov. 18, 2009, then-Chief Judge Alex R. Munson sentenced Taitano to 159 days imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release for conspiracy and uttering counterfeit obligations and securities.

On July 23, 2010, the federal court revoked his supervised release and ordered his imprisonment for seven months with 29 months of supervised release.
