CPA board’s big spenders: Cing, Dela Cruz

Tinian’s Reynaldo Cing recorded a total of $6,021 in travel expenses in FY 2008, while Serafin Dela Cruz, who is also from Tinian, spent $5,496 on travels in FY 2007.

Cing received $5,577 in per diem allowance  from CPA and $443.50 for his airfare.

Dela Cruz  received $2,698 for his per diem and $2,798 for his airfare.

Former Rota board member Alejo Mendiola spent $3,897 on travels — $2,943 for his per diem and $954 from February to March 2008.

Former board member Connie Igisomar spent $3,405 for her two trips including a five-day visit to California in October last year where she received per diem allowance of $857. Her airfare expenses totaled $2,267 for the trip.

Former CPA Chairman Rex I. Palacios spent $1,667 for his five trips in FY 2008 before the board was dissolved by the administration.

Palacios received a per diem allowance of $1,157 and $510 for his airfare.

Former board member Melchor Mendiola recorded $1,441 in expenditures for his three travels in FY 2008 — he was paid $964 for his per diem and $477 for his airfare.

Former board member Marianne DLG. Tudela spent only $322 on travels in FY 2008.

 Of this figure, $223 was her per diem allowance and $98 was for  the airfare.

Records obtained by Variety showed that the former CPA board spent $16,880 on travels in FY 2008 — $11,846  in per diem and $5,034 in total airfare costs.

In FY 2007, from Oct. 1, 2006 to Sept. 30, 2007, CPA spent $12,846 on travels — $7,152 in per diem and $5,693 in airfare.

Melchor Mendiola during the same period spent $3,497 on travel expenses of which $2,092 was for his per diem and $1,405 for  airfare.

Palacios, in FY 2007, spend $2,937 on travels — $1,446 for per diem and $1,490 for airfare.

Former  board member Bobbie Yamada’s travel expenditure in FY 2007 amounted to $915.
