Cruz: Elected leaders should unite

“Let us not repeat the past bickering among each other and move forward to a positive change,” he added.

He said once the runoff election results are certified, all branches of government must work together and not against each other.

All of the elected leaders, he added, “must unite for the common good of the people.”

He believes that everybody, including all politicians, must leave the mistakes of the past behind and work toward solutions that can help make the economy better next year.

The Commonwealth Election Commission will count the absentee ballots next week before it can certify the result of the Nov. 23 gubernatorial runoff in which Fitial garnered 6,313 votes compared to Rep. Heinz S. Hofschneider’s 5,812.
