The interruption is necessary to ensure safety for the CUC line crew as they perform work on the electrical grid.
The interruption is scheduled to commence at 5:30 a.m. through 8:30 a.m. and will affect the Feeder 1 and Feeder 3 circuits.
This interruption will allow the line crew to perform needed general maintenance and repairs on ten double circuit primary power poles on Chalan Pale Arnold Road.
In addition, line clearing will also be performed to remove vegetation near primary lines in the Garapan area.
This is part of an ongoing systems maintenance program being performed throughout the island by the linemen.
Affected Areas:
5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Feeder-1: Puerto Rico (Shell Gas Station) to China Town (Commonwealth Drive), Navy Hill, Chalan Galaide, Portions of Garapan, Upper/Lower MIHA Housing and portions of China Town.
Feeder-3 (Second Partial): Portions of China Town and portions of Gualo Rai.
CUC apologizes for any inconvenience these scheduled power interruptions may impose on the community and its customers.
CUC is currently training its power crew to eventually work on live wire to minimize future power interruptions.
