According to Manny Tenorio, committee chairman of the 2008 Liberation Day, CUC’s power division has promised them that no power interruptions will occur at the carnival grounds during the month-long celebrations.
CUC field crew will be on standby to respond to any unexpected power problems in the area, he added.
Tenorio commended CUC for accommodating their request for continuous power service at the Garapan Fishing Base area, the site of the carnival.
Acting CUC power division manager Gary P. Camacho said the area will experience only two-hour power outages in the morning, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
The carnival activities are scheduled in the evening, Tenorio said.
CUC has been in close coordination with the organizing committee prior to the grand opening of the event on Friday, Tenorio said.
The Liberation Day carnival will run from June 6 to July 6.
