The victim, a cashier in her mid-40s, was in the adult ward.
Further inquiries about her condition were referred by CHC personnel to Public Health Secretary Joseph Kevin Villagomez, who has yet to return this reporter’s call.
Department of Public Safety spokesman PO2 Eric David last week would neither confirm nor deny if the victim was shot in the face.
“The matter is still under investigation,” David told the Variety.
He also declined to comment if the bullet from the .22 rifle used by the suspect was recovered.
In an e-mail, David said, referring to earlier police report, “There was a typo error on the robbery incident in Dandan. It was written that $2,000 was taken from the establishment. Can you make the correction: it was $200 that was taken,”
Police are still looking for the unidentified suspect.
