Manglona ordered Li Ping Zhou and Tang Yue Xin, both 39, to appear in court for their next hearing on Dec. 29 while Eleno Blas Valdez, also 39, was told to return to court on Jan. 12, 2011.
Li Ping Zhou and Tang Yue Xin were arrested last September on the charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Tang Yue Xin was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.
Li Ping Zhou is currently out on bail.
A cooperating source told police Li Ping Zhou and Tang Yue Xin, who were working as masseuses, were selling “ice” at their As Lito barracks.
Police arrested Valdez last September on charges of trafficking and three counts of possession of “ice.”
A cooperating source told police that Valdez was an “ice” supplier.
After police purchased $100 worth of “ice” from Valdez through a cooperating source in Garapan on Aug. 2, 2010, Valdez agreed to become a cooperating defendant.
On Aug. 20, 2010, authorities acted on a tip that two local men were possibly smoking “ice” in the Dandan area near Ace Poker.
They consented to a search after police approached them and asked for their permission.
Recovered from their vehicle were two glass pipes, and one small Ziplock baggie “containing a crystal-like substance.”
The individuals were later identified as Valdez and Ray Muna who told police that the seized “ice” belonged to Valdez who was then arrested.
It was not mentioned by police if Muna was also arrested.
After the hearing on Wednesday, Manglona remanded Valdez to the custody of Corrections.
He is being held on a $35,000 cash bail.
Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Petersburg is the prosecutor while the defendants are being represented by Robert Myers, Assistant Public Defenders Richard Miller and Michael Brown.
