D’Elegance cheers up CHC front liners with free meals

“I am very thankful to the sacrifices of our front liners, particularly the doctors and nurses who are risking their lives to make sure that the people of the CNMI will be safe,” D’Elegance owner Julieta Cunanan said.

Twenty-five nurses, nursing assistants and technicians from the medical-surgical-ICU unit received nutritious meals from D’Elegance, one of the island’s most popular restaurants.

A retired CNMI educator, Cunanan said she wants to express her deepest appreciation to the hard work of the front-line responders on Saipan.

Although business is slow due to the lockdown, Cunanan said she remains eager to share whatever blessings she has with the community.

“I also hope we can recover as soon as possible so everyone can start and go back to normal life,” she added.

D’Elegance Café, which opened in 1986, is a regular donor and sponsor of various community events and activities conducted by the various civic and non-profit organizations on island.

Located in Garapan, D’Elegance currently accepts takeout orders from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
