“This is their home and we, their people, need them,” the Independent gubernatorial candidate said.
He said CNMI students must return to the islands so that the older employees can retire.
Guerrero wants the government to do more in encouraging students to work on island after college.
The CNMI, he added, must pay local workers according to “their worth.”
He believes that the low wages in the CNMI are the main reasons why a lot of the local youth prefer to work in the states.
He said the islands need more educated people and this is why the government must ensure that the private sector hires more local people.
