Docomo, St. Michael’s are newest MMAC major sponsors

“The 2011 MMAC committee is extremely excited to receive St. Michael’s donation and support this year!  Their donation will go a long way in supporting this worthy cause.  We’d like to thank the staff and management of St. Michael’s for their support of the MMAC,” said 2011 public relations committee chairman Christopher A. Concepcion.

2011 MMAC overall chair Dave B. Guerrero, for his part, commended Docomo for “supporting the fight against cancer.”

Docomo marketing representative James Lee said they will not be joining as a team this year, but they are glad to support the march which will be held at the Hopwood Junior High School track and field on May 13 to May 14.

“Maybe next year we can join as a team again,” Lee said.

“Docomo Pacific has been supporting us in this endeavor and we would like to see them again next year as a team,” Guerrero said.

The other major sponsors who have donated up to $2,999 each in cash or services are IP&E/Shell, Marianas Variety, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Images Saipan Ltd., Saipan Golfers Association, Marianas Health Services and MMAC golf tournament organizers.

Title sponsors or those that have donated cash or services worth $3,000 include Delta Air Lines, DFS Galleria, Bank of Guam, TakeCare/FHP, IT&E, Joeten Charitable Foundation, Sorensen Media Group, St. Jude Renal Care Facility Inc. and Transportation Security Administration volunteers.

Guerrero said the march, which is the CNMI’s biggest annual cancer fundraising event, will start at 5:30 p.m. instead of the original 6 p.m. schedule.

“We decided to move it earlier to finish all the programs because some of the minor participants may have curfew and may need to be home earlier,” Guerrero said.
