DPL urged to look into idle road projects

In House Resolution 17-78, Basa, Covenant-Saipan, said many road projects in Kagman have not been completed and DPL through its homestead program “is responsible not only for plotting lots for homestead but also for the construction of roads for the accessibility to these lots.”

In an interview, Basa said providing Kagman with better and safe roads is one of his top priorities.

He said he receives calls from constituents on a daily basis asking for better roads.

Right now, many roads, especially near the hillside, are impassable. “If you are going to drive there you’re going to need  a four-wheel drive vehicle, because road is going to break your car,” Basa said.

“If you look at other precincts, almost 99 percent of their roads are paved? What about Kagman? We have the biggest population.”
