The general location of activity will be at the Laderan Laggun Cliff Line, one mile north of the Marpi landfill, according to DPS acting spokesman PO2 Jason Tarkong.
DPS is advising the general public, especially tour and dive operators, farmers, joggers and bikers, about the road closure from 1 to 3 p.m.
The actual detonation is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The grid coordinates are 15 degrees, 16.11 minutes 0.0865 seconds North and 145 degrees, 49 minutes 0.3313 seconds East and 5,000 feet above sea level.
Roads leading to Suicide Cliff, which will be the main viewing point for the detonation, will not be closed off.
But public access to Suicide Cliff is allowed only through the road leading up to the Far East Broadcasting antenna for viewing purposes, DPS said.
The detonation operation will be conducted by DPS, the Emergency Management Office and the U.S. Navy’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Detachment Marianas.
DPS will set up security posts to enforce and control traffic movement in the area.
