DPS spokesman Eric F. David said there were 18 traffic accidents from 6 p.m. of May 29 to 6 a.m. of yesterday.
David said most of the traffic accidents occurred during the busiest hours of the day, particularly from 6:30 to 8:30 in the morning, and from 2:30 to 5:50 in the afternoon,
“We would like to appeal to the community to take extra precaution, follow all traffic rules and not to exceed the speed limits especially if you are near bus stops or school zones,” David said.
Second on the DPS list is disturbing the peace of which there were 17 incidents.
David said there were eight theft incidents, eight civil matters, seven incidents of burglary and theft, and seven incidents of assault and battery.
He said theft and burglary incidents have no pattern, which means they occur anytime during the day or night.
He added that six individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police also responded to three cases of domestic violence, two stolen vehicle incidents and one incident each for illegal possession of controlled substance, truancy, ordnance call and contempt of court.
All in all, DPS officers made 18 criminal arrests in the 84-hour period.
David said there were 54 disregarded or logged-in complaints for the whole period.
There were also six ambulance runs for sick calls over the weekend.
All the incidents that police responded to are still under investigation, David said.
