Public Work Secretary Martin Sablan said his office will be coordinating with the Saipan Leadership Memorial Kiosku committee which is overseeing the courtyard project in the area.
The traffic light will benefit motorists in that section of Beach Road and will include the improvement of the sidewalk, the pathway and the drainage system, he added.
Sablan mentioned the project during the leadership memorial courtyard committee meeting yesterday.
Former Rep. William S. Torres, the committee consultant, said they will look into the impact of the project on the municipal courtyard.
Sablan said they are now working on the architectural and engineering design which will be completed after six months.
He asked the committee to submit its own project design so DPW can see how it can help develop the site.
