THE Department of Public Safety is seeking the community’s assistance in locating and apprehending Edward Castro, who is wanted for burglarizing a Capital Hill residence and stealing $126,000 worth of valuables.
Assistant Chief of Police Simon Manacop, DPS’s acting public information officer, said, “On Feb. 6, 2024, an arrest warrant for Castro was issued by the Honorable Judge Joseph N. Camacho. Castro is charged with burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property. Bail is set at $50,000.”
“The arrest warrant stems from a burglary and theft incident that occurred at a residence [on] Capital Hill and was reported to DPS at 6:22 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2024. The victim of this incident reported that cash, jewelry, designer bags, and assorted electronics were stolen and that their approximate value combined was $126,000,” Manacop added.
