Eucon acting director of institutional effectiveness Vilma Reyes said over 500 stduents from both private and public schools competed in the CNMI-wide event.
The Eucon students who excelled in the competition from the first grade were Jeffrey Sheu, third place for Numbers, Pauline Santos and Joy Yan, second placers for Algebra/DSP, and Christopher Mafnas, third place for Measurement/Geometry.
For the second graders, Alan Matutino, Si Ting Zhuo and Caleb Yan won first place in Numbers, while Victoria Santos placed third.
Santos and Zhuo placed first in Algebra/Data, Statistics & Probability while Elijah Villamero and Matutino won third place. In Measurement/Geography, Yan and Zhuo won first place, Villamero and Matutino second, and Santos, third place.
For the third grade level, James Reyes and Juancho Siasoyco won first place, while Ao Feng Zheng and Matthew Millo won third and fourth places in Numbers. Reyes won first place in Algebra/Data, Statistics & Probability while Bartolome placed second. Zheng and Millo placed second and third.
For the Measurement/Geometry competition, Bartolome and Reyes won first place, Millo and Zheng second place, and Johanna Reyes placed third.
Winners in the fourth grade level for the Numbers category were Jiayi Zhou and Danille Penida who came in fourth and fifth places. Zhou and Penida placed second and third in Algebra/Data, Statistics & Probability category.
Penida came in second in Measurement/Geometry while Zhou came in fourth.
Fifth grade winners in the Numbers category were William Young who came in first, Tae Yeon Kim, second, and Ethan Reyes, third place. For the Measurement/Geometry category, Daniel Villamero placed first, followed by second placers Theresa Zheng, Tae Yeon Kim and William Young, and third placer Eric Pacheco.
Eucon said it provides the best Christian education available on island, offering a well-rounded education from three-year-old kindergarten through 12th grade.
Eucon, in collaboration with the Christian Bible Church, extends its community outreach by giving scholarships to deserving student. Transferees are accepted.
