The concert is part of the student body’s fundraising efforts for its activities.
The students will play the piano, the flute, the violin, the trumpet, traditional Chinese instruments and the like.
The students are asking for sponsors. For each $100 pledge, Eucon will give out five tickets for the show to the donor whose name will be mentioned in the program and in press releases.
It will be the school’s third bi-annual music concert.
While the featured instruments will remain predominantly string and brass, Eucon’s violinists are attempting much harder music this time, and will perform Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins, 1st Mvt, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No.5 in A Major, Kreisler’s Praeludium and Allegro, Accolay’s Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, and many more.
Guam vocalist Dr. Yoh Shirato will be on island again to perform various works from musicals and opera, including a duet with Christian Wei Jr. called “Lily’s Eyes.”
The Eucon student body, administration and staff want to extend their thanks to their sponsors for making this event possible: the Marianas Variety, City Trust Bank, the Pacific Islands Club, Star Water Company, Trader’s Insurance, Barny’s Pizza, J.C. Tenorio Ent. Inc., Aon Insurance and Herman’s Modern Bakery.
Eucon’s auditorium can accommodate over 400 persons. Tickets are $5 each. For more information, call 234-3207 and ask for Selena or Grace or email [email protected].
