MARVIN Buston, an administrative manager at HBR Construction, won the grand prize in the 2025 Pistang Pinoy raffle on Sunday — a round-trip ticket to Manila. The winning raffle ticket number was 235426.
Buston, a father of two, has just returned from a visit to the Philippines.
“I will ask the organizers to convert the round-trip ticket to cash,” he said. “Thank you very much to the United Filipino Organizations and Marcelo Masilungan of Supertech for sponsoring the grand prize,” he added.
The other raffle winners were:
• Maria Zayco – $300 cash prize (Ticket No. 255453), donated by UFO;
• Maria Gloria Balila – $200 cash prize (Ticket No. 255038), donated by Macro Accounting/Valentino Cruz; and
• Rhea Agusto – $100 cash prize (Ticket No. 255099), donated by UFO.
Pistang Pinoy, an annual celebration of Philippine Independence Day, showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines through entertainment, games, performances, and a variety of food and merchandise from local vendors.
This year’s theme is “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan” (Freedom, Future, History).
The event’s organizers, the United Filipino Organizations, expressed gratitude to this year’s major sponsors: RNV Construction, IT&E, Super Tech Inc., Joeten Enterprises Inc., Marianas Business Plaza, JCE Services, Decorations, and Macro Accounting, among others.
As part of this year’s festivities, UFO will hold a flag-raising ceremony in honor of the 127th Philippine Independence Day at Aqua Resort Club on Thursday, June 12 at 7 a.m.
