The Japan market increased by 6 percent while the Taiwan market soared to 59 percent compared to the same month last year.

The South Korea, Guam, Singapore, China and Australia markets also made a good showing.

In January, tourist arrivals dropped to 18 percent, but the two most viable markets registered an increase.

In January, PVA predicted that February statistics would increase because Japan Airlines would have five additional flights while Far Eastern Airlines would have four extra flights.
