Joyner was released from federal prison on Sept. 9, 2010 after serving six months for possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Joyner pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute after he was arrested by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents in Oct. 2009.
Joyner admitted to the Federal Probation Office that he smoked “ice” on Dec. 24, 2010.
Joyner initially denied using methamphetamine because he did not want to go back to prison, according to Federal Probation Officer Gregory Arriola.
Joyner is actively participating in substance abuse treatment testing, the court was told.
The Federal Probation Office is working with Joyner and his treatment provider to ensure that his recovery program suits his needs, the report said.
Joyner is performing community service as ordered by the court, the report added.
Arriola informed the federal court that Joyner’s compliance will be closely monitored and any subsequent violations will be reported to the court.
In CNMI Superior Court, charges of attempted aggravated assault and battery, two counts of assault and battery, criminal coercion, interfering with a domestic violence report, assault, and violating an order of protection that have been filed against Joyner have yet to be adjudicated.
