Last week, federal immigration officers visited the college.
“They were very positive with our facility, organization and functions,” Wei said.
Eucon is the first CNMI school to apply for I-20 student visas, he added.
He said they submitted their applications even before the implementation of the federalization law to ensure that their foreign students will continue their studies here.
Wei said they submitted to the visiting team all necessary documents regarding the college’s “track record” with international students.
He said the college was able to prove that it has experience, good facilities as well as qualified staff and instructors.
Wei said the federal representatives gathered all pertinent information and will submit their findings to their head office.
By next month, the college expects to hear from the federal immigration authorities, Wei said.
Form I-20 is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security document issued by colleges, universities, and vocational schools that provide supporting information for the issuance of student visas.
