The Taste of America competition pitted a favorite food of every state and territory in a bracketed, online tournament. The Northern Marianas entry, apigigi, beat out Nebraska runza, Georgia peaches, and Maine lobster in the final four to take home the national championship. The monthlong, online contest was hosted by Roll Call, Capitol Hill’s longest running newspaper. The trophy will have a place of honor in the CNMI congressional office. Contributed photo
