She had to go back to the center with her staffer Dave Celis to monitor the flood water at the back of the building.
She said the problem started two years ago after the construction of a covered court adjacent to the center.
Whenever the rain goes on for hours, there is flooding in the area, she said.
Worried about the water getting inside the center, Mondala said they had to clean up the manhole on Tuesday evening.
What concerns her now is one of the center’s perimeter walls which may collapse during another downpour.
Mondala said she already talked with Department of Public Works Secretary Martin Sablan about their problem.
