This is the second time in as many years that Mori has met with the AJC leadership.
The president and the AJC both welcomed the growing cooperation between the AJC and the Federated States of Micronesia as an extension of an already excellent bilateral relationship between the United States and Micronesia, as well as that between Israel and Micronesia.
They discussed issues relating to the Compact, including those affecting the Micronesian citizens in the United States.
Peter R. Rosenblatt, who served as U.S. ambassador and lead negotiator to the negotiations on the future political status of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands in 1977-1981, and AJC Executive Director David A. Harris led the AJC delegation which also included officials from the AJC chapters.
Mori was accompanied at the meeting by Secretary of Foreign Affairs Lorin S. Robert, FSM Permanent Representative to the United Nations Masao Nakayama and Deputy Permanent Representative Jeem Lippwe.
