GOVERNOR David M. Apatang on Friday nominated Michi Aldan Viches and Matthew C. Masga to represent Tinian on the boards of directors of the Northern Marianas Technical Institute and Northern Marianas Housing Corporation, respectively.
Viches is a board member of the Liberation Day Committee, while Masga is the chairman of the Tinian Casino Gaming Commission.
In his appointment letter to Viches, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. Dennis James Mendiola are confident that she will devote her time and efforts to the important board.
In a separate letter to Senate President Karl King-Nabors, the governor added that he and the lieutenant governor are confident Viches’ leadership will carry out the mandates of the NMTech board for the administration of the training institute.
In his appointment letter to Masga, the governor said he and the lieutenant governor are confident he will uphold the mandates and goals of the NMHC. The board’s work aims to meet the need for decent, safe, and sanitary housing for individuals of low and moderate income and to provide employment opportunities through housing development in the Commonwealth.
