GOVERNOR Arnold I. Palacios on Tuesday last week reappointed Carmelita Rabauliman Faisao to the Northern Marianas Technical Institute board of trustees.
Faisao, whose reappointment requires Senate confirmation, represents women and Carolinians on the board and, if confirmed, will serve for an additional four years. The first time she was nominated to the NMTI board was in 2019.
A sales representative of D&Q Distributors, Faisao was recommended for reappointment by the NMTI nomination committee on April 1, 2024.
In his appointment letter to Faisao, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang are confident that she will continue to devote her time to the important board.
In his letter to Senate President Edith Deleon Guerrero, the governor said he and the lt. governor are confident that Faisao’s leadership will carry out the mandates of the board of trustees in the administration of NMTI.
