Merced “Marcie” M. Tomokane
GOVERNOR David M. Apatang on Tuesday reappointed Merced “Marcie” M. Tomokane as chairwoman of the Northern Marianas Housing Corporation Board of Directors.
If confirmed by the Senate, Tomokane will continue to represent the Third Senatorial District and the private sector on the board for another four-year term, which will expire on May 6, 2029.
In a letter to Senate President Karl King-Nabors, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. Dennis James Mendiola are confident in Tomokane’s ability to serve the best interests of the CNMI people.
“We believe that her continued membership on this board is essential to ensure consistency and continuity in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the NMHC,” the governor said.
Tomokane is currently Bank of Guam’s vice president/CNMI regional development officer.
