SOMEONE has broken the padlock of the gate to the Grotto again, community volunteer and Parks and Recreation staffer Max Aguon said.
He said he immediately reported the incident on Monday morning to his supervisors and called the Department of Public Safety.
Parks and Recreation closes the gate to Managaha in the evening for safety reasons.
“It may be poachers again,” Aguon said, referring to those who broke the padlock.
Grotto, a popular tourist site, is a protected area.
In June, Aguon reported that someone broke the padlock of the gate, and that security camera footage showed a pickup truck entering the area late in the evening.
