The local company was recently awarded a five-year $1.9 million contract renewal from DOD to provide local voice and data communications services for the Joint Region Marianas, which is comprised of all U.S. Naval installations on Guam and Andersen Air Force Base.
GTA TeleGuam was given the nod after competing with four other communications providers.
“In a fiercely competitive environment, this contract renewal is a vote of confidence for GTA TeleGuam’s track record of performance, network investment history, and competitive pricing,” said Roland Certeza, executive vice president of sales and marketing for GTA TeleGuam.
“Excellent, reliable communications services are vital for our military, and GTA TeleGuam was again prepared for the rigorous scrutiny,” he added.
The agreement is among the largest telecommunications contracts the Air Force 38th Cyberspace Engineering Group has awarded, as it covers both military branches.
