GUAM Human Rights Initiative or GHRI, a non-profit organization, will hold three events in support of poverty advocacy in the Pacific, according to its founder, Dr. Erika Anderson.
GHRI is “focused on providing academically rigorous research and support for human rights organizations on Guam and in the Pacific,” Anderson said.
On Nov. 14, the organization hosts the “Poverty: Community and Innovation” webinar with special guests Satya Tripathi, former assistant secretary-general of the United Nations, and Chantale Wong, U.S. director of the Asian Development Bank.
GHRI, Tripathi, and Wong will “discuss the challenges and innovative solutions in addressing U.N. Sustainable Development Goal Number 1: No Poverty.”
