Guest workers to hold second pocket meeting on Friday

The group will also have a barbeque party, according to Rabby Syed, United Workers Movement president.

The gathering will be held every first and third Friday of the month until May.

On Friday, the meeting will start at 3 p.m. and will be held near  the TSL building where the U.S. immigration  office is located.

During their first meeting, Syed said they video-recorded guest workers speaking about what’s in their minds in their native languages.

This, he said, will be submitted to the U.S Department of the Interior which has until May to submit recommendations to the U.S. Congress regarding the status of CNMI guest workers.

“I am inviting all guest workers and community members to join the gathering on Friday to express their views,” Syed said.
