Healthy dancing students perform in ‘Summer Splash’ finale

Joeten-Kiyu Public Library executive director John O. Gonzales said they were very happy with the turnout.

“It is a good thing to see these kids get involved in healthy dancing and engage in exercise activities that are fun, exiting and stress-free,” Gonzales said.

Dr. Gary Ramsey, program coordinator of the Wise Women Village Project under the Department of Public Health. said  with the increasing cases of child obesity, getting the young people to dance can help them develop  healthy habits.

A dozen students showed up yesterday.

Eden Quizon, one of the dance instructors from the Rose Dance School of Saipan, said their other students are already back in school and couldn’t attend yesterday’s event.
