The proceedings were scheduled for Dec. 17, 2009, but Bradley and Govendo e-filed on Nov. 12 their stipulation and requested a new date — Jan. 20, 2010.
“The undersigned are mindful and respectful of the importance for this matter to proceed in a timely and efficient manner,” Bradley and Govendo stated in their two-page stipulation.
They added, “It is [our] position as officers of the court that due to [our] current calendars and matters that have long been scheduled during the next several weeks and due to the high likelihood that certain motions and/or subsequent stipulations will be submitted…to address various procedural and/or substantive matters which should most appropriately be addressed by the panel prior to proceeding to formal hearing.”
Bradley will serve as the prosecutor while Govendo will represent himself.
Govendo has summoned Associate Judge Ramona Manglona to testify in the hearing.
It was Manglona who alleged that Govendo used “racially insensitive language” in his courtroom, which Govendo denied.
