HONG Kong Airlines wants “to fly to Saipan again this year,” its Operations Department Supervisor Derek Tsang said.
In an email to Commonwealth Ports Authority and cargo service officials on Saipan who previously worked with Hong Kong Airlines in the past, he said: “For now our company is planning to fly to Saipan again this year, in November, so I am writing the email to you, for the potential opportunity to [work] with you again.”
Tsang also provided a proposed flight schedule from Hong Kong to Saipan, and from Saipan to Hong Kong.
U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo earlier said the restoration of the U.S. as an approved destination for travelers from China “is a significant win for the U.S. travel and tourism industry.”
She made the statement following the Chinese government’s decision to lift travel restrictions to the U.S. and its territories.
