House ready to act on measure to regulate private ambulance

Rep. Ralph DLG. Torres, R-Saipan and author of House Bill 16-111, said it will be included in the calendar for the session to be held this week.

The House Committee on Health, Education and Welfare wants the Department of Public Safety’s Office of Emergency Medical Services to adopt rules and regulations in operating the private ambulance.

St. Michael, the first private ambulance company on the island, is already providing its services to home-based patients. Many of the clients are diabetic patients.
